ICOS – Integrated Carbon Observation System (http://www.icos-infrastructure.eu) is a European research infrastructure for measuring atmospheric concentrations of greenhouses gases and flows on ecosystems and oceans.
As contributors to this program, the French Climate and Environmental Sciences Laboratory (the Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l’Environnement or LSCE), and the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (the Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives or CEA) appointed Ecomesure to set up a multi-instruments tracking system. Using Ecombox, we were able to centralize and synchronize all the data from the weather sensors and gas analyzers located in a 180-metre-high tower.
This achieved significant savings in terms of data collection and aggregation, corrective and preventive maintenance, as well as time spent checking that the instruments are functioning properly.
