• Surface pollution (landfill sites, farms, etc…).

The main pollutants concerned are mercury, NOx (produced by combustion), VOCs, heavy metals, dioxins (mainly produced by incineration plants), as well as smells (e.g. treatment of co-products in the food processing industry).
