Switch from the Citeair Index to the US EPA one with a single click.

Already indexed to Citeair, the European Air Quality index, our environmental data management platform EcomSaaS now embeds the US EPA index. The platform users can easily switch from an index to another and compare measurement data of air quality at both European and American level. Our US customers can visualize their air quality measurements to the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) required by the Clean Air Act of 1963.

These indexes provide general information about air quality. The bigger they are (near 100 for Citeair and 300 for US EPA),the more polluted air quality is. A colour code is associated with them and makes reading of data clearer and more intuitive.

The Citeair and US EPA indexes distinguish themselves through the pollutants they measure and their distribution per category.

The US EPA index takes into account 7 pollutants (O3, PM10, PM2.5, CO, SO2, NO2, Pb) and is divided into six categories (0-50, 50-100, 100-150, 150-200,200-300, >300).

To meet the 2008/50/CE and 2004/107/CE European directives, the Citeair index is based on 6 pollutants (O3, PM10, PM2.5, CO, SO2, NO2). It is split into 5 categories (0-25, 25-50, 50-75, 75-100, >100) and two indexes: ambiant index and traffic index.

Thanks to these indexes, public policies have a way to assess air quality, which makes decision-making and communication to citizens easier.
